The Other Palace, London

We used to be regular visitors to The Other Palace. The venue has two performance spaces and this is a review of the Main House.

This theatre has tried hard to be as Accessible as possible. There is a ramp to enter. The only problem is once you get on this ramp in the Foyer, people use it for hanging around and block it. The theatre really need Security to make sure people don't block this ramp. It is a long winding ramp and there are often people standing all over, the entrance, exit and along the way.

The bar is not really Accessible, due to the number of people that are normally in there and the fact there are lots of tables in that area. However, I am sure the theatre will assist if necessary to help you get drinks etc.

The venue has a good sized Accessible Toilet with room for a wheelchair to turn around. The wheelchair spaces are in the centre of the back row of the Main House (see photo). You do miss some of the show, if there is anything really high up, or on a second level but I think the theatre have done the best they can, with what they have.

I would rate the Main House as 7/10
