Fortune Theatre, London

Fortune Theatre, Russell Street, London WC2B 5HH

We visited the Fortune Theatre for the second time, since we had needed Access Seats.

The Wheelchair Spaces are on the Back Row of the Dress Circle, which has one Wheelchair Space at the end of Row F, they remove two seats for the space.

The entrance to both the Theatre and the Access Seats is via a lift, which will hold a person sat in the Wheelchair. This lift has recently been fitted as the previous lift always seemed to be breaking down and wouldn't take the weight of my husband's wheelchair, but the new one does.. You can't access the Bars and Merchandise Kiosk, but staff were on hand to get anything we wanted, which was great.

There is an Accessible Toilet, but you need to use the lift to get down to it, as it is on the Ground Floor.

The view is from a height, as it is the back of the Dress Circle but the view is pretty good.

I would give this a 9/10 rating - anything lacking in the Theatre, due to its age, is made up by the efforts of all the staff.
